Campaign organizers look for a big finish in the final week.

Three SECC events extended to Oct. 31

The TWU State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) is in its final week. Let’s wrap up with a big finish!

Organizers are pulling out all the stops, extending the last three activities through the end of the month.

The Dr. Bettye Myers Challenge gives both academic and non-academic components a chance to win. Academic components will be eligible for a drawing to win a $1,000 student scholarship sponsored by the TWU Foundation. Non-academic departments will be eligible for a drawing for a group pizza party sponsored by the chancellor’s office and Chartwells. Get your registration in today!

The Basket Building Challenge & Auction has a lot of great baskets up for bid, whether you want something for those cozy nights at home, equipment for that next camping trip, items for your own El Dia de Los Muertos celebration, or gifts for your cat. To bid on a basket, simply register on the site, select the basket you like, and place your bid. You don’t even have to pay yet — donations will be coordinated after bidding closes.

There’s still time to show off your hidden talent in the TWU’s Got Talent event. Some of your TWU colleagues have already posted their videos, and you can vote/pledge toward their chosen charities. Maybe their videos will inspire your own!

TWU’s goal for this year’s campaign is $100,000 and 100% participation across the Denton, Dallas and Houston campuses. In addition to making your pledges through these three remaining activities, you can give online, through electronic forms and physical forms. Each method allows you to identify how much and to which charities you wish to donate. See the “How to Give” page for more information.
