Texas Woman’s celebrates National Nurses Week (May 6-12) with a special webpage featuring stories of nursing faculty, current students and alumni on the front line of the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Another student tells how her father’s health scare led her to pursue a career in nursing. Still another story highlights two of the first graduates of a joint nursing program that allows students to work toward an associate’s and a bachelor’s degree simultaneously, completing both degrees within four years.
The page also includes a Nurses Week message to TWU from ABC News correspondent John Quiñones, host of “What Would You Do?”
