Texas Woman's celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

Texas Woman’s University is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15 through Oct. 15) with a special website recognizing the contributions, heritage and culture of Hispanic individuals and communities.

As a Hispanic-Serving Institution, Texas Woman’s has long valued the diversity of thought and traditions that our Hispanic students, faculty, and staff bring to the university.

Features on the Hispanic Heritage Month website include Loteria cards you can download. This is the TWU version of Loteria, a game that’s similar to Bingo, but which uses image cards.

Alumni, faculty, and staff share their stories of overcoming obstacles, their drive to find answers, and their inspirations in the Featured Stories section of the website. Also included is a story on a program aimed at advancing Latino student success in higher education.
