Along with warmer weather, summer brings an opportunity to review and update your state insurance benefits. Summer benefits enrollment begins soon.
The Summer Enrollment period is June 26-July 28. During this period, TWU employees may enroll in new benefit programs or make changes to their existing coverage. Though changes can be made online via the ERS portal throughout the entire summer enrollment period, ERS staff will be available to assist Texas Woman’s employees by phone July 3-14.
As ERS finalizes any plan or rate changes, this information will be posted on the 2023 Summer Enrollment page and mailed directly to your homes.
ERS also will offer enrollment events to provide information about summer enrollment.
New third-party administrator for HealthSelect Prescription Drug Program
In December 2022, the ERS Board of Trustees awarded the third-party administrator contract for the HealthSelectSM Prescription Drug Program to Express Scripts. The six-year contract term will begin Jan. 1, 2024, and go through Dec. 31, 2029.
OptumRx will continue to administer the plan through Dec. 31, 2023.
Employees enrolled in HealthSelect or Consumer Directed Health Select will be automatically transferred to Express Scripts on Jan. 1. Over the next few months, ERS, Express Scripts, and OptumRx will share detailed information about the change. You will also learn about the new plan website, when and how to register your account, new customer service and other contact information, and any steps you might need to take before the transition.
Through Dec. 31, 2023, continue to use your current prescription plan ID card and call OptumRx toll-free at (855) 828-9834 (TTY: 711) for any help you might need with coverage and claims. Express Scripts will send new ID cards later this year to use starting Jan. 1, 2024.
You can click on the transition page to learn more about this transition. ERS will update this page as more information becomes available.
