Special website celebrates Black History Month

Texas Woman’s University is proud to celebrate Black History Month. A special website features stories of TWU faculty, staff, students, and alumni who are making a difference. The website also features a link to Diversity Events celebrating Black culture, experience, and history scheduled throughout the month.

TWU’s Blagg-Huey Library is highlighting contributions of Black Americans in the fine arts during Black History Month. Through music, literature, and poetry, artists such as Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Langston Hughes, Zora Neale Hurston and more elevated their voices and made their life perspective part of the daily conversations.

The Black History Month display, located on the first floor of the library, shows how Black Americans contributed to the evolution of the fine arts.
