TWU Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) will present a virtual Ally Training program on Friday, Oct. 16, from 9 a.m. until noon. This program is open to all students, staff and faculty at all three campuses.
The TWU Ally Program is an interactive workshop held each semester as part of a nationwide effort to provide support to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, asexual/agender (LGBTQIA) students, faculty and staff. The purpose of this program is to increase knowledge, personal and community awareness as well as the number of physical and emotionally safer spaces for LGBTQIA individuals on the TWU campuses. CAPS hopes to do so by educating students, staff and faculty and by providing opportunities to practice strategies for affirmation.
Space is limited. You must call CAPS to register: 940-898-3801.
