Wednesday, Aug. 17 — (For staff members) Take a self-paced tour of the Sue S. Bancroft Women’s Leadership Hall on the second floor of the Old Main Building. 11 a.m.-1 p.m., see exhibits including “Pioneering Women,” “The Election of 2018: Women make History,” “iCivics,” and “Minnie Fisher Cunningham: Texas Suffragist.”
Monday, Aug. 22 — Start with refreshments 9-10 a.m. on Pioneer Circle and Houston 2. Fall Assembly begins at 10 a.m. in the Margo Jones Performance Hall, located in the Music Building. If you can’t be there in person, you’re invited to watch the livestream broadcast. Dallas and Houston colleagues not traveling to Denton can gather in room 2504 (Dallas) and Auditorium 2120 (Houston) to watch the broadcast.
Other highlights include a Faculty Development Luncheon, Faculty Ice Cream Social (with a tour of the Sue S. Bancroft Women’s Leadership Hall), First Year Convocation, and the Teaching and Learning Symposium.
Also, if you need a headshot for your profile or department website, Marketing & Communication will offer free headshot sessions Aug. 22-24 in the Eberly Recital Hall located in the Music Building. No appointment is necessary.
