Finding a university policy on the website is about to become much easier.
Before the end of June, the Office of the General Counsel plans to publish a new university policy website, which will include all University Regulations and Procedures (URPs) as well as Regent Policies.
“The updated policy website design provides more user-friendly functionality,” said Alex Yarbro, director of compliance (office of general counsel, Denton). “The entire TWU community will be able to quickly and easily access policies.”
The new University Policy website will allow users to:
- Filter the policies by category, subcategory and policy owner
- Filter the policies by applicability
- Sort the policies by number or title
- Search the list of policies by title, number or other reference points
To read a policy, users will click on the policy’s title and a PDF of the policy will automatically open in a new browser window.
Additionally, all TWU policies have been given new policy numbers for ease of reference. A Policy Numbering Reference Guide, which lists the old and the new policy numbers side by side, has been created for quick and efficient comparison. This will be found on the resources page of the new university policy website.
“We want to thank the Division of Marketing and Communications and Information Technology Solutions for their support and collaboration on this project,” Yarbro said. “We are also grateful to the many TWU units who provided valuable insight, coordination and guidance throughout this process.”
When the new website is live, TWU faculty and staff will receive an email with more information. If you have any questions, please contact Alex Yarbro at email@example.com.
