Mark your calendars for Welcome Week 2023.
This year’s theme is “A Million Dreams,” and faculty and staff on all Texas Woman’s campuses are invited to kick-off the 2023-24 academic year with Fall Assembly on Monday, Aug. 21.
The fall assembly will take place at 10 a.m. in the Margo Jones Performance Hall on the Denton campus and will be streamed to Auditorium 2120 in Houston and room 2504 in Dallas. The event also will be streamed online.
Free parking will be available on levels 2 to 4 in the Oakland Complex parking garage in Denton.
If you're coming from the Houston campus and want to ride the bus to Denton (and back), complete the RSVP form.
Receptions will precede the fall assembly at 8:30 a.m. on each campus — at Pioneer Circle in Denton and outside the streaming rooms in Houston and Dallas.
Several activities are scheduled during Welcome Week, including the traditional Faculty Ice Cream Social, First-Year Convocation, Teaching and Learning Symposium, and more.
The Office of Marketing & Communication will host headshot sessions in the Eberly Recital Hall (Music 103):
- 8-9:30 a.m. and 1-5 p.m., Monday, Aug. 21
- 8 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 22-23
Stop by and have your university headshot made.
