Goh named finalist for innovation award

Hui-Ting Goh, PhD, an associate professor in the School of Physical Therapy, was named a finalist for D CEO's 2025 Innovation Awards, presented in partnership with Dallas Innovates.

Goh was one of five finalists in the emerging leader category.

Goh spearheads research that focuses on understanding the underlying mechanisms of human movement control to promote motor recovery in the field of physical therapy. She studies innovative technologies to improve the lives of individuals that have suffered neurologic injuries such as spinal cord injury and stroke.

Her current research collaboration with Baylor Scott & White Institute of Research, funded by the U.S. Department of Defense, explores the use of non-invasive transcranial magnetic stimulation to measure neuroplastic changes that are associated with robotic gait training in individuals with spinal cord injury. She is also delving into the use of transcranial magnetic stimulation to help reduce post-stroke fatigue with research funding through the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Finalists will be honored and winners revealed at an awards event early in 2025. Finalists will also be featured in D CEO's January/February issue and online at dallasinnovates.com.
