With TWU basketball's 76-44 win over Daemen in the Elite Eight of the NCAA Division II women's tournament Monday, the Pioneers have advanced to the Final Four for the first time in program history.
TWU faculty, staff, and students enjoyed TWU's win over Daemen at a watch party in the student unions' Bridges Auditorium, and now it's time to do it again on Wednesday.
The Pioneers will take on Ferris State at 6 p.m. CT on Wednesday, with the game televised on the CBS Sports Network. TWU will host a watch party in two locations:
- Bridges Auditorium in SUHH – big screen and door prizes
- Dining Hall – sports bar-style food
The winner of the TWU-Ferris State game will play at 7 p.m. on Friday, Mar. 29 in the National Championship game. If TWU advances to the championship game, there will be a fan bus to Missouri.
Those interested in riding the bus to support the Pioneers in Missouri on Friday, which leaves Denton at 8 a.m. and returns to Denton immediately following the game, should complete the sign-up form now. Transportation and tickets to the game are free for students riding the bus, but everyone should bring their own money for food and souvenirs.
Faculty and staff are welcome to caravan with the fan bus in their own vehicles, or may also complete the sign-up form to ride the bus.
Seating is limited. If the bus fills, there will be a waitlist.
For those who want to stream the game(s) on their own, the NCAA web site has full details.
Tickets for the game in St. Joseph, Mo., can be purchased from the St. Joseph Sports Commission.
