Texas Woman's University has announced the recipients of the 2020 Faculty and Staff Awards. Because the university is unable to have a spring presentation and reception, the awards will be presented at a future event.

The 2020 Faculty Award recipients are:

Cornaro Award — Sandra Cesario, PhD, professor of nursing, Houston

Mary Mason Lyon Award — Ashley Bender, PhD, assistant professor of English

Mary Mason Lyon Award — Danielle Woolery, DMA, associate professor of music

Distinction in Teaching Award — Junko Levitt, PhD, associate professor of communication sciences

Distinction in Scholarship Award — Jyutika Mehta, PhD, associate professor of communication sciences

Distinction in Service Award — Annette Torres Elias, PhD, associate professor of literacy and learning

Distinction in Service Award — Ann Wheeler, PhD, associate professor of mathematics

Distinction in Distance Education Award — Elizabeth McCarroll, PhD, professor of human development

Innovation in Academia Award — Paul Thomas, DMA, assistant professor of music

Humphries Award — David Rylander, PhD, professor of marketing

Distinguished Service to Student Life Award — Phyllis Bridges, PhD, Cornaro Professor of English

Distinguished Service to Student Life Award — Lybeth Hodges, PhD, professor of history
