The Book-in-Common 2021 Essay Contest is now underway. The contest is open to faculty, staff, and current undergraduate and graduate students.
TWU adopted “Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption” by Bryan Stevenson as the 2020-2022 Book-in-Common along with the campus theme: A Call to Action: Seeking Social Justice by Becoming Change Agents in Our Communities. The essay contest prompt is: With the campus theme in mind, what calls you to act? How are you an agent of change in your community and/or the world?
Keep in mind:
- Essays should not exceed 1,000 words
- Essays must be submitted by 5 p.m., Friday, March 5
- You are not permitted to edit your work after submission
- Winners will be notified via email no later than Tuesday, March 30. Prizes for first and second place will be awarded in each category.
