Board of Regents approves promotions, tenure

The Texas Woman's University Board of Regents approved promotion and tenure recommendations at its quarterly meeting May 17.

Faculty promotions/tenure, effective Sept. 1, are:

 

College of Arts & Sciences

 

Lecturer II Mandy Biggers, PhD (Biology) was promoted to senior lecturer.

Lecturer I faculty promoted to lecturer II were:

  • Jennifer Danley-Scott, PhD (Political Science)
  • Samanthi Kottegoda, PhD (Biology)
  • Yunxiang Li, PhD (Chemistry)
  • Deepani Tennakoon, PhD (Biology)

Assistant professors promoted to associate professor and awarded tenure were:

  • William Benner, PhD (Spanish)
  • Clare Brock, PhD (Political Science)
  • Megan Griffiths (Photography)
  • Julie Libersat (Art, Design, and Technology)

Assistant professor Jodi Thomas, DPT (Physical Therapy) was promoted to associate professor.

Assistant clinical professor Deborah Testerman (Dental Hygiene) was promoted to associate clinical professor.

  • William Sit, PhD (Occupational Therapy)
  • Amy Teague (Dental Hygiene)

Associate professor/associate director Asha Vas, PhD (Occupational Therapy) was promoted to professor/associate director.

Professor/associate director Martin Rice, PhD, (Occupational Therapy) was awarded tenure.
