For the first time in program history, the Texas Woman's basketball team is headed to the Elite Eight to play for the Division II National Championship.
The Pioneers defeated Lone Star Conference foe UT-Tyler, 65-51, Monday night at Kitty Magee Arena to punch their ticket to St. Joseph, Mo., site of the Elite Eight.
