The Texas Woman's basketball team earned the No. 1 seed in the Lone Star Conference Tournament for the third straight season after defeating UT Tyler on Thursday night.
No. 1 TWU claimed a share of the Lone Star Conference Regular Season Title, winning the LSC for the third straight season. The Pioneers had the same record in conference action as No. 11/12 Lubbock Christian, but took the No. 1 seed by virtue of the Pioneers' victory over the Lady Chaps in the regular season.
The Pioneers will travel to the Comerica Center in Frisco for the LSC Conference Championships on March 6, 8 and 9. TWU will open the tournament at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, against No. 8 seed UT Permian Basin, a rematch of the 2024 LSC Championship Game.
The semifinals will take place at 12 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, and the championship will take place at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 9.
TWU will have a fan bus to the March 6 game that will depart at 4 p.m. Saturday departure is at 10 a.m., and Sunday departure is at 11 a.m. In addition, TWU has purchased tickets for Pioneer fans.
