Jian Zhang (computer science) has been named to the advisory board for a Texas International Education Consortium (TIEC) project partnering with the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani, to build capacity for gender inclusive and streamlined degree programs. The project, funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, contributes to a wider effort by the U.S. government to support American-style higher education in Iraq as part of its long-term stabilization strategy.
