Many TWU nursing faculty and alumni have been among the DFW Great 100 Nurses during the list’s 32-year history. This year, one of our faculty members will play a role in selecting those named to the prestigious list.

Cheryl Thaxton (Nursing, Dallas) was named to the 2022 DFW Great 100 Nurses Selection Committee. Thaxton herself was named to the list in 2021.

The Great 100 Nurses of Dallas and Fort Worth honors 100 nurses nominated by their peers and selected for being role models, leaders, community servants, compassionate caregivers, and significant contributors to the nursing profession. The nurses recognized come from all practice areas in nursing, including acute care, sub-acute care, school nursing, nurse leaders, academics, and more.
