Library staff members Adrian Shapiro and Amanda Zerangue (both Denton) were awarded $69,975 to host a series of workshops aimed at developing digital competencies in library staff and students. The grant also will fund the creation of a virtual lab that allows the library to purchase more laptops and hotspots for student use.
The grant was awarded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Texas State Library and Archives Commission.
The primary goals of this project are to train library staff in digital competencies to better support students and to develop digital competencies in students to support their learning and prepare them for the workforce.
