Retirement, farewell celebrations set

Texas Woman's University will bid a fond farewell to three employees in the coming weeks:

Rockie Young

Risk Management will host a retirement party for Rockie Young, environmental health and safety specialist, 2-3:30 pm., Wednesday, Aug. 2, on ACT 2. Remarks will begin at 2;30 p.m. RSVP or write a note for Young if you can’t attend.

 

Deb Unruh

Student Life will host retirement celebrations for Deb Unruh on both the Denton and Houston campuses. The Denton reception is scheduled 4-5 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 2, in the second-floor Southwest Ballroom Pre-Function space in the Student Union at Hubbard Hall. The Houston reception will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 7, in the eighth-floor Legacy Room.

Unruh started her career at Texas Woman’s as a coordinator in 2003 and became assistant director for Student Life Houston in 2014.

 

Kimberly Russell

The TWU Community is invited to a send-off for Kimberly Russell, EdD (University Advancement) between 2:30 and 4 p.m., Friday, Aug. 4, in the University Advancement offices. Russell has accepted a position at another institution, as noted in the July 21 issue of Dallas Innovates. Her last day at Texas Woman’s will be Aug. 10.

Lisa Rampy will serve as interim vice president for University Advancement following Russell’s departure. Shelby Gould will lead the TWU Foundation as interim executive director while continuing as assistant vice president for advancement operations.
