Danielle Phillips-Cunningham (multicultural women’s and gender studies, Denton) published an op-ed in The Washington Post about the history of Black women’s labor organizing in recognition of Labor Day. The opinion piece notes that this year marks the 100th anniversary of the National Association of Wage Earners, a little-known but important Black women’s labor organization of the early 20th century.
