The Texas Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine (TACSM) recognized George King, PhD, (School of Health Promotion and Kinesiology) with the Service Award at the 2023 TACSM Annual Meeting on Feb. 23-24 in Waco. 

The award recognizes his years of service to TACSM that started when he joined in 2001 and continued through his term on the board of trustees, his role as the continuing education coordinator, and, most recently, his time as the regional chapter representative.
