Two administrators have been selected to take on key academic positions beginning Aug. 1, Interim Provost Finley Graves, PhD, announced this week.
Carolyn Kapinus, PhD, who is currently serving as special assistant to the president, will re-assume her position as Dean of the Graduate School; and Holly Hansen-Thomas, PhD, who is currently serving as vice provost for research and innovation and dean of the Graduate School, will assume the new title of vice provost for research, innovation and corporate engagement.
Hansen-Thomas’s activities will encompass facilitating research-based relationships with corporations and other business entities, among other duties. Hansen-Thomas and Kapinus will continue to report to the executive vice president for academic affairs and provost.
