Elif Isik (nursing, Houston) is the recipient of the Southern Nursing Research Society’s Jean Wood Nursing Scholarship Award. The award recognizes the contributions of a researcher who has enhanced the science and practice of nursing in the southern region. The awardee is chosen based on one of their scholarly publications.

Isik’s poster presentation also was chosen from among hundreds of posters to receive the award for top student poster.
