In the News: Texas Woman's University

Texas Woman’s University, home of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) Official Archive, was noted in two recent articles for its part in events recognizing WASP. A story in the May 21 issue of General Aviation News, “Honoring the WASPs,” credits TWU for providing the original database of WASP gravesites so that Women in Aviation International (WAI) members and friends could visit the graves and pay tribute to the WASP. Another article, “WWII WASP pilots to be honored with ‘Remembered Whispers’ monument,” notes that TWU provided information to be used in creating a monument to the WASP at the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Park in Conroe.
