Lisa Huffman and Gina Anderson (both College of Professional Education, Denton) wrote an opinion piece, “Teacher diversity boosts students,” published Feb. 2 in the San Antonio Express-News and Feb. 11 in the Corpus Christi Caller Times and the Denton Record-Chronicle. The op-ed is about the need for greater teacher diversity in Texas classrooms and how a proposed teacher certification exam could have limiting effects on bringing more teachers of color into public school classrooms.
