Gina Anderson (College of Professional Education, Denton) was quoted in an April 28 Texas Tribune story, “Facing a teacher shortage, Texas considers a more rigorous teacher certification exam.” The article covered the Educative Teacher Performance Assessment, or edTPA exam for teacher certification, which was approved by the State Board for Educator Certification the following day. The issue is expected to go before the State Board of Education in June.
