Wyona Freysteinson (Nursing, Houston) received a Mayor’s Champion of Inclusion Award during Houston’s annual Disability, Unity and Pride Celebration on Sept. 22. Freysteinson was honored for her “proven record of advocacy to the Disability community in Houston.”

The Mayor’s Champion of Inclusion Awards seek to recognize and honor the contributions of individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations that are committed to promoting diversity, equity, accessibility and inclusion throughout their organization and/or community.
