The late Mayme Fletcher, a former TWU DPS sergeant, was the focus of a July 2 Denton Record-Chronicle story, “Denton County’s first female officer remembered for dedication, compassion.” Leonard Logan, a former colleague of Fletcher’s at Texas Woman’s, was quoted in the story.
