Karen Dunlap, EdD (Professor, Curriculum and Instruction) and Amanda Hurlbut, PhD (Associate Professor, Educational Leadership) have joined almost 2,000 educators worldwide in earning the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Certified Educator designation.
They each completed a rigorous certification program, including 10 weeks of professional learning, followed by assembling a competency-based e-portfolio that included artifacts curated or designed to align with the ISTE Educator Standards. To achieve certification, the portfolio must receive an assessment of 80% or higher from ISTE evaluators. The ISTE certification prepares those who receive it to reflect on, apply, and model effective practices in the utilization of technology in education.
