Susan Chrostowski (Nursing, Dallas) was named to the board of directors for the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) – Rheumatology specialty board. She is the only non-MD elected to the board.

"As the only non-physician provider serving on this board, I am able to inform the other board members on the role and scope of practice for advanced practice providers, such as nurse practitioners and physician's assistants," Chrostowski said. "I would say the biggest significance of being chosen for this position is being able to provide a voice and advocate on issues affecting advanced practice professionals."
