Christina Bejarano (Political Science, Denton) received a Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP) grant for her project, “Deepening Democratic Engagement in Select Battleground States: Moving Women of Color from Reliable Voters to Candidates.”

Bejarano’s project was among 12 research projects identified as “among the most promising to yield insights that can be translated into action to increase women’s political power, including effective interventions to disrupt gender and/or intersectional biases in U.S. political institutions.”

CAWP is a unit of the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
