Albrecht elected Prospanica DFW chapter president

Maria Gomez Albrecht, an adjunct faculty member in the TWU College of Business, was elected Prospanica DFW chapter president for the 2021 term. Prospanica DFW is part of a nationwide nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and advocating for the growth of Hispanic MBAs and business professionals in corporate America.

As president, Albrecht will be responsible for leading the creation and deployment of local strategies to grow the chapter’s membership and increase value to its members. In this capacity, she also will work with all board officers to meet the chapter’s revenue goals and strengthen relationships with academic partners and corporate sponsors.

“The strategic vision over the next year is to maintain the chapter’s leadership position in the metroplex as the top organization for Hispanic professionals to achieve full educational, economic, and social potential,” Albrecht said. “The focus will remain on helping Hispanic professionals and college students to connect, advance, and thrive in their careers.”

Prospanica DFW’s chapter regularly hosts networking events, professional development workshops, career advancement opportunities, educational seminars, corporate recruiting events, and more. As a nationwide organization, Prospanica also has scholarships ranging from $2,000 to $5,000 for undergraduate and graduate applicants. Students also can become members at a substantial discount.

Albrecht teaches marketing courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels at TWU. An author and global speaker, Albrecht also is the chief marketing officer of Alonos®, a leader in performance management consulting and leadership training in Dallas.
