In an effort to help support faculty and staff health and wellbeing, the Employees Retirement System has compiled a list of webinars you may find beneficial during this stressful time of self-isolation and social distancing. You're encouraged to register for any webinar you believe could be helpful to you or your family.
You can register for any of the wbinars by clicking on the ERS Wellness Events Calendar during the month of April. ERS will compile a schedule of webinars monthly that you can attend from your home via computer, tablet or smart phone.

Texas DPS’ Stress Management for Essential Staff at Work During COVID-19
Many things have changed recently due to new health concerns. Despite these changes, essential workers continue to provide important services in this environment. As a result, new stressors can often arise and affect performance or health. This webinar will discuss general coping skills and strategies specific to components of the environment of today.

ERS Intro to Mindfulness: What, Why and How Webinar
Explore how mindfulness can help you effectively manage stress and how it works. This webinar will include active participation and a 10-minute mindfulness meditation. This evidence-based skillset is available to everyone and has been proven to improve productivity, reduce blood pressure, improve sleep, decrease anxiety and depression and improve immune function.

Texas DPS Unconventional Workout Equipment Webinar
Sixty-two percent of adults who say they exercise to help manage stress say the technique is very or extremely effective according to the American Psychological Association’s 2014 Stress Survey. Yet, finding exercise equipment to use to manage stress during the current health crisis can be difficult ... until now, as this webinar will help provide ideas on unconventional workout equipment at home along with ways to use it effectively.
