The Texas Woman’s School of Occupational Therapy had strong representation at the American Occupational Therapy Association annual conference held March 31-April 3 in San Antonio. More than 20 faculty and students presented at the conference.
Noralyn Pickens (Denton) was named to the Roster of Fellows of the American Occupational Therapy Association for her service as Exemplary Occupational Therapy Scholar and Mentor. The roster recognizes occupational therapists who, through their knowledge, expertise, leadership, advocacy, and/or guidance have made a significant contribution over time to the profession with a measures impact on consumers of occupational therapy services and/or members of the association.
Marsha Neville (formerly of Dallas) was awarded the Retired Educator Award in recognition of her dedication to the innovative education of entry-level and post-professional occupational therapists and researchers.
