The School of Education welcomed 38 high school students from Denton Independent School District’s program Teach Denton — a “grow your own” style effort from the local school district.
The event, spearheaded by Associate Professor Aimée Myers, PhD (Literacy and Language), and supported by additional faculty from the School of Education, provided students interested in becoming teachers a tour of TWU’s campus, an opportunity to learn about technology use and gamification, and a look at the Future Classroom Lab.
Students also met with representatives of the FLAME student organization and learned more about TWU student services.
