The TWU Community offers its sympathies to the family and friends of Jimmie Lyn Harris, who passed away April 9, 2020, in Denton. Harris was a TWU alumna, holding both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in library science. She began working for the TWU Libraries in 1980. Most recently, she served as the children’s librarian and as the subject specialist librarian for multicultural women’s and gender studies. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. Gifts in her memory may be made through the TWU Foundation designated for the Jimmie Lyn Harris Program Endowment for the TWU Children's Collection.
