Events celebrate National Hispanic Serving Institutions Week

The Internships Office at the Pioneer Center for Student Excellence and the Career Connections Center will present a series of events celebrating HACU’s (Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities) National Hispanic Serving Institutions Week, Sept. 14-18. The events, focused on internship preparation and career development for Latinx-identifying students, will cover topics such as marketing your bilingualism in the job search, a Latinx professionals panel and community resources for DACA and undocumented students. (Applications will not be renewed at this event.)

Faculty and staff are invited to a Latinx Networking Mixer, 6-7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 16, hosted by Unidxs – the TWU Latinx Faculty and Staff Association. The virtual networking mixer will provide time to share experiences, challenges and successes, and an opportunity to find mentors and a support system at TWU. Register for the Latinx Networking Mixer now.

All events will be conducted via Zoom and are open to students, faculty and staff. Contact Juan Armijo or Vianet Garza for more information.
