  • Congratulations to Mari Tietze (nursing) for being named a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing. Academy Fellows are nursing leaders in education, management, practice and research. Tietze will be inducted in October in Washington, D.C.
  • Linda Denke (nursing adjunct) wrote a book, “Lost and Found: The Journey Through My Son’s Mental Illness,” which recently was published by Simon & Schuster.
  • Laura Brown (Teaching and Learning with Technology) wrote a review of the book “Higher Education in Texas: Its Beginnings to 1970” by Charles R. Matthews. Her review has been published in the latest issue (Volume 85, Number 2, May 2019, 491-492) of the Journal of Southern History, a publication of The Southern Historical Association.
