These online training courses are required by TWU and their frequency varies depending upon the training.
Human Resources
State Mandated Ethics Training
All employees are required to complete this upon hire and, thereafter, annually.
Select the hyperlink above to download the presentation. After the presentation is completed, it will send you to another site for a short quiz. The information must be completed for credit.
Recognition and Prevention of Sexual Harassment with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Overview Training
All employees are required to complete this training within 30 days of hire and, thereafter, every two years.
Select the hyperlink above. You will have to sign in with our acronym, state number, First name and last name with spaces in between. Example: TWU 756002618 First name Last name.
The training takes 30-40 minutes. There are 15 questions at the end, and you must answer 11 of the 15 correctly to get your certificate.

IT Solutions
Information Security Training
All employees are required to complete this upon hire and, thereafter, annually. A friendly reminder to complete this is sent out via email, which includes instructions for taking the training.
Risk Management
Employees have different training requirements based on their respective job titles. The most common training required for employees are:
- Fire Safety & Evacuation Training — Employees at all campuses are required to take this training one time
- Stormwater Pollution Prevention & Awareness Training — Employees at the Denton campus only are required to take this training one time
- Active Assailant Training — Employees who work in any department that falls under Student Life or Finance and Administration are required to take this training once

Completing training related to professional development can be an enjoyable way to learn valuable skills.

With video tutorials on thousands of topics, LinkedIn Learning is an excellent resource to help accomplish your professional goals. The best part? It is absolutely free for TWU faculty, staff and students.

This resource, free for TWU employees, also has training and webinars. It doesn’t stop there, however: In addition to professional development, this site also has many personal development courses and support.
If you have never utilized the EAP, follow these steps for the first-time login:
- Navigate to awpnow.com
- Select “Access Your Benefits”
- Complete the required registration fields
- Enter the registration code: AWP-TWU-1412
- Make note of the email address and password you created for the next time you log in to your EAP website
