  • More than 100 people attended the recent Getting to Know Nursing open house on the Dallas campus. Coordinated by Nola Schrum and Gayle Night (nursing), the program informed pre-nursing students about the nursing program, life as a nursing student and the realities of being a practicing nurse. Attendees were able to chat with current nursing students and faculty, take tours of the T. Boone Pickens Institute of Health Sciences building and touch an "ICU patient" in the high-fidelity simulation lab. 
  • For the second year, Sharon Van Sell (nursing) has been published with graduate nursing students from the Theoretical Foundations of Nursing Practice course in the peer-reviewed International Journal of Nursing & Clinical Practices. The five articles covered concept analyses on positivism, balance, differentiate, holism and lived knowledge.
