  • Adjunct faculty member and TWU alumna Keegan McKay (occupational therapy) won the “OT of the Year Award” at Texas Occupational Therapy Association, Inc. Conference held Nov. 1-3 in Austin.
  • Last week, Martin Rosario (physical therapy) and Grad 1 DPT students hosted a weekend anatomy outreach activity, teaching Weatherford OTA students components of upper extremity anatomy.
  • Monthly, Dallas Staff Council highlights different departments for their contributions to making TWU a better place to work. This month, the Dallas Department of Public Safety is recognized for being “dedicated to maintaining safety on campus and in the parking garage. They are always polite to staff, faculty, visitors and students, creating a welcoming environment.”
  • The work of post-professional OTD graduate Holly Grieves and TWU co-authors Noralyn Pickens (occupational therapy - Dallas) and Theresa Smith (occupational therapy - Houston), "The Effect of Instructor-Produced Videos as Supplemental Material for Training Visual Screening Procedures in Occupational Therapy Education", was recently published in the Journal of Occupational Therapy Education.
  • Anastasia Miller (business) received a "2019 Highly Commended Award" from Emerald Publishing for an academic article she wrote in the International Journal of Emergency Services titled "Individual and Organizational Factors  Associated with Professional Quality of Life in Florida EMS Personnel."
