  • Reminder: Faculty and staff headshots will be taken 11 a.m.-3 p.m., Thursday, Sept.12, in the Board Room (room 2502). It may be the only session on the Dallas campus this semester, so if you need an official university headshot, stop by! No appointment is necessary.
  • TWU Staff Council will meet 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 12 in room 8201. Guest speaker David Sweeten (Student Union, Conference Services) will talk about the features and spaces in the new Student Union on the Denton campus. All staff are welcome to attend.
  • Faculty Ombudsperson Linda Rubin will visit the Dallas campus Monday, Sept. 16. The provost’s office on the second floor will serve as her office for the day. Drop by the office or contact her at lrubin@twu.edu or 81-2605 for an appointment.
  • FYI: The JCPenney Suit Up event, offering 60 percent off career apparel for TWU faculty, staff, alumni and students, will take place 4-7 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 15, at Stonebriar Centre in Frisco. A valid ID and TWU email address are required at event check-in.
  • Congratulations to nursing adjunct faculty Tonya Brooks and Leticia Cole, recipients of the Texas Nurse Practitioners 2019 Community Impact Award for the State of Texas! The award is presented to nurse practitioners in Texas who have made outstanding contributions toward the health and wellbeing of their patients and communities. Brooks and Cole were recognized for outstanding care and service toward their patients at Sniffles & Giggles Pediatric Clinic in Ellis County.
