Bill Wilson established the Cynthia Buckner Gill Scholarship Endowment to honor Cynthia “Cindy” Gill-Sams, EdD, professor of communications sciences and oral health in the College of Health Sciences.

Gill-Sams is a renowned speech-language pathologist who has dedicated the last two decades of her career to providing speech therapy training both nationally and internationally. The Cynthia Buckner Gill Scholarship Endowment is a tribute to Gill-Sam’s exceptional mentorship and achievements.

The gift supports students pursuing a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. Recipients of the award will have the desire to pave new ways to serve the unserved just as Gill-Sams has done throughout her career.
