Alumna Amelia Diana Wysocki ’67 has left a generous planned gift to Texas Woman’s University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in biology. Her gift establishes a scholarship endowment to support current biology students at TWU in honor of her positive experiences at the university and belief in the strong academic foundation TWU faculty provides students.
Born and raised in Laredo, Wysocki was an avid traveler who spent time in places like Australia and New Zealand, China, Britain, Africa, and Mexico. When not overseas, she dedicated her time to serving the community, both as a member of the Texas National Guard and as a volunteer for the American Red Cross. She was a resident of Big Bend Ranch, near Terlingua, and passed away peacefully on April 2, 2024.
Thanks to Wysocki’s generous gift, future students will be able to pursue careers in biology and carry forward her spirit of adventure.
