With the arrival of a senior director and director team, TWU Alumni Engagement has big plans for the upcoming semester and year ahead.
Senior Director Susan Farrington arrived at TWU last spring, just in time for Homecoming 2024. She brings 20 years of experience in alumni relations to the role, and will work with Director of Alumni Engagement Lisa Nash. The pair have jumped into their new roles with enthusiasm and are working on an exciting schedule of events for alumni and friends this fall.
First among these events is a Lunch & Learn program that will be held at the Frontiers of Flight Museum in Dallas on Oct. 2, where attendees will enjoy a catered lunch while hearing a presentation about the university’s new aviation program by Clint Grant, director of the TWU Doswell School of Aeronautical Sciences.
Registration for the Lunch & Learn includes admission to the museum. A second Lunch & Learn event will follow in Denton this November.
On Friday, Oct. 17, Alumni Engagement will host the alumni reception and graduate student poster session that kicks off the annual Celebration of Science event by TWU’s School of the Sciences. Join alumni and faculty for light appetizers, select beverages and a cordial reception following a public lecture from 4–5 p.m. and preceding the Celebration of Science symposium.
Learn more and register for the reception here, and visit the Alumni Engagement website to learn about more upcoming events and opportunities.
