The strategic plan team on university systemness compiled strategies and success measures to develop the university's systemness over the upcoming years. 

Strategies

• Establish leadership teams for the Houston and Dallas campuses
• Develop a unique research mission for the Houston and Dallas campuses
• Analyze input from stakeholders on each campus
• Identify and build relationships with key community partners (e.g. alumni groups, hospitals, employers, community colleges)
• Develop a strategic plan for each campus that identifies facilities needs, research mission, accreditation requirements, and which services for each campus can be provided centrally and which should be based locally

Success Measures

• Hire a chief executive officer for the Houston campus and for the Dallas campus by July 2024
• Create metrics for increased research funding
• Provide a framework for the organizational structure of every campus
• Create a plan to prepare for the potential effects of having different campuses on disciplinary accreditation
