TWU’s flavor chemistry program wants volunteers to taste pecan oils, and they’ll pay you to do it.
Help local growers determine which of their pecan varieties taste the best. Volunteers are needed to taste six oil samples and give their opinions. Tastings will be scheduled 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Nov. 16-20, in room 113 in Woodcock Hall on the Denton campus.
In exchange for your time (no more than 30 minutes) and opinions, you’ll receive $5 compensation. The study is open to all faculty, staff and students. Non-TWU individuals also are invited to participate. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older and a consumer of pecans to participate.
To volunteer, complete the sign-up form. Contact graduate research assistant Adriana Muniz at amuniz3@twu.edu or faculty advisor Xiaofen Du at xdu@twu.edu if you have questions.
