Xiaofen Du and Shanil Juma (nutrition & food sciences) were awarded a $47,000 grant from the National Watermelon Promotion Board for their study of the refreshing effect of watermelon flesh-rind blends on post-exercise recovery inflammatory and immune response through product development and clinical trials.
