CRF applications due March 21

Applications are due for the 2019-2020 Chancellor's Research Fellows (CRF) program by 5 p.m. Thursday, March 21. The CRF Program provides support to promising scholars and their mentors to facilitate completion of a specific project. The objectives are to identify faculty with strong potential for obtaining external funding for research, provide additional research support that will help protégés and mentors succeed in their research agendas, and facilitate the building of internal and external partnerships. Protégés who demonstrate a strong potential for research select a mentor who can help them enhance their research program to become competitive for external funding.

We expect awards to be $3,000 in support of Mentors and $5,000 in support of Protégés to encourage faculty with strong potential for external funding to be successful in that endeavor. Awards will be for the period September 1, 2019 – August 31, 2020, and are contingent upon funding availability. Application materials and instructions can be found on the Office of Research & Sponsored Programs’ website.
